What is this event?

he idea behind this event is to assemble a group of talented formation skydivers and take an innovative approach to large formation skydiving records. This event will complete the first ever 100-way made up of 50 men and 50 women.This has never been tried before. If you thought you knew what it was like to break a record, be prepared for this unique challenge. This is a revolutionary idea whose time has come. Thank you Sharon Rutberg for bringing us this idea!
 
 
How do I get on the load? 
 
We have formed a core leadership team to invite and recruit the most talented formation skydivers from all over the world.

Our leadership team is comprised of an even number of men and women with extensive large formation skydiving experience as organizers and participants. The team comes from a number of different areas of the country and each member has international skydiving contacts of his or her own, as well. 
 
A select group of individuals from the New England skydiving community has been invited as the core of this large formation group. They have been asked to participate based on their talents in sequential competitions as well as large formations.

In addition a second wave of invitations has been given to jumpers within the current group of leading competitors at the US Skydiving Nationals.
 
Our leadership team will assist in putting together a list of additional participants from around the world who have proven that they have the skills to make this event a success. This list will represent a select group of individuals with whom the leadership team has jumped and who have both a high level of talent and experience. Invitations will be made on a rolling basis.
 
If you do not have a personal contact with anyone on the leadership team you can still earn a slot on this event. To be evaluated for a slot you can attend any event that the leadership team is holding between now and May of 2004. If during the event the organizers feels that you have what it takes to join the team you will be given an invitation. In addition, a reference from two or more large formation organizers or plane captains who have worked on more than one event can help you earn a slot. In order to be considered for a slot from non-leadership large formation organizers please have the organizer e-mail us directly with their recommendation and your contact information. We will then assess our needs and determine if an invitation will be sent.
 
How much does it cost?

$680
 
Jumps: $500: 20 jumps at $25 each

Registration, Organizational Fees and Food:  $180 - covers 4 days with a top notch leadership team  , oxygen as necessary, high latitude jumps, video staff, ferry fees, pilots, lunch every day, dinner, DJ, island theme party

We are currently seeking sponsors -- each time we have a silver or higher sponsor it will result in a price deduction for participants.

When is the money due?

A first nonrefundable deposit of $100 is required to hold your slot.  A second norefundable deposit of $100.00 is due June 30th. The balance is due upon arrival.

Slots are filled on a rolling basis. Once we have reached our capacity slots will be closed. 


How do we get to Skydive Pepperell?
 
Skydive Pepperell is located in Pepperell, Massachusetts approximately one hour from Boston, Massachusetts (BOS) and 25 minutes from Manchester, New Hampshire (MHT). Commercial airports with multiple airlines serve both cities. We recommend that you fly into Manchester because it is so easy to get into and out of. If you choose to fly into both you may find a lower fare but the time it takes to get into and out of the airport will be at least double that of Manchester and travel to Pepperell will increase your travel expenses. 
 
Where should we stay?
 
The Crowne Plaza Hotel is the host hotel for our event. We highly recommend you stay there – they have incredible accommodations at an incredible price that was offered specifically for this event. The special rate they are offering is $79 per night – $40 off their lowest regular rate. Few hotels in the area can be found for a lower price and if you find them they will not offer you the accommodations that theCrownePlazacan. In addition the Saturday night banquest and island theme party will be held here.  To book your hotel call and tell them you are with Skydive Pepperell.

What altitude will you be going to?

We will be making skydives from between 14,000-16,500 feet. The decision as to what altitude to go to on a skydive will be made by the leadership team. Oxygen will be supplied as needed
 
How many jumps will we make?

Approximately 20 jumps will be made over the 4 day period.

What if we don’t make all 20 jumps –will I get a refund?


Participants will be refunded at the rate of $25 per jump for jumps not made.
